Backend Engineering Intern

We are excited to offer a 6 month internship for passionate individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in Scala development. As an intern, you will contribute to building, scalable systems which use modern functional programming-based design approaches. You’ll work with a modern technology stack, including Scala and Cats Effect, while collaborating with experienced engineers and gaining real-world development experience in a dynamic environment.

• Degree in Software Engineering or a related field 
• Passion for software development and a desire to improve technical skills 
• Basic knowledge of Java, functional programming, or object-oriented programming, with a willingness to learn and contribute 
• Proficiency in spoken and written English 
• Strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving 

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with the development team to contribute to production software using Scala 
• Participate in software development, focusing on improving technical skills and staying up to date with industry trends 
• Assist in delivering high-quality code for a scalable application with a global user base 
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and problem-solving
