Job description
We’re creating something special. We are joining forces to create the biggest mobile network provider in the UK. Through our collective strengths and talents, we will transform customers’ experience and create a best-in-class network for coverage, connectivity, and reliability, delivering greater value and more choice for the nation than ever before.
There are very few moments in our careers where we can feel the ground shifting beneath us, where we can sense that something bigger than we’ve known before is taking shape. We’re not just building a company. We’re going to build a culture, a legacy and a future to be proud of. This will require remarkable leadership and together we can set the standard in the industry and beyond for both customer and employee experience, in what it is a career-defining opportunity.
This role reports to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and is responsible for delivering clear and accurate insights into the Consumer margin performance of Vodafone Three through month‑end reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. A key part of the role is connecting financial data with operational performance to support informed strategic decision‑making while maintaining strong financial discipline across the Consumer area.
The role partners closely with the Consumer team and works cross‑functionally with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders to build, review, and explain the Consumer business plan and performance, including the identification of risks and opportunities. Effective coaching, communication, and collaboration with a wide range of colleagues are essential to build a shared understanding of key performance drivers and issues.
What you'll do
- Prepare clear, executive‑level reports, dashboards, and presentations that emphasise data storytelling and practical, actionable insights.
- Partner with cross‑functional leaders across financial, commercial, and operational teams to provide meaningful business insight and constructively challenge assumptions.
- Support strategic initiatives by offering financial guidance, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis.
- Lead deep‑dive analysis and commentary on Consumer performance across Revenue and Direct Costs.
- Combine financial and operational insights to strengthen the organisation’s understanding of performance, including developing and sharing KPIs that sit behind the financial results.
- Lead the creation of models that project long‑term growth and identify key factors influencing performance.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities, recommending actions that help optimise outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and IFRS standards.
- Review current processes and working practices to identify opportunities for efficiency, improved insight, and enhanced analysis.
- Lead, develop, and coach a team of finance professionals, fostering an inclusive environment that supports growth and collaboration.
- Experience partnering with and supporting director‑level stakeholders, with the ability to influence outcomes while maintaining a strong customer focus.
- Demonstrated strengths in strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and project delivery.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and confidently.
- Solid financial acumen, with experience in business partnering and strong commercial awareness.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Demonstrates a growth mindset, actively seeking opportunities to learn, develop, and explore new possibilities—individually and as part of a team.
- Able to engage, align, and empower others to achieve shared goals.
