Job description

Sika Spain is looking for a Legal & Compliance Officer, located in Alcobendas office (Madrid), to support and strengthen our legal and compliance framework, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and applicable regulations while fostering a strong culture of compliance and transparency.

The mission of the role is to provide legal support, supervise and coordinate key legal and compliance matters, and to implement compliance policies that help prevent legal, financial and reputational risks, while promoting an ethical and transparent business culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support to the business, with a strong focus on commercial law, advising on matters related to both customers and suppliers.
  • Monitor and supervise regulatory requirements related to sustainability, environmental matters, and Quality Management Systems, including frameworks such as CSDDD, CBAM and PPWR.
  • Support, supervise and coordinate activities related to GDPR compliance and insurance management.
  • Coordinate with external legal advisors to ensure efficient and consistent legal support.
  • Lead and support Compliance activities, including the implementation of Group compliance policies such as:
    • Crisis Management Manual
    • Whistleblowing Channel
    • Legal Risk Matrix
  • Drive the standardisation of legal review processes (contracts, claims and training), based on corporate documentation, to improve efficiency, consistency and traceability.

 

    • Academic background in Law, double degree in Law and Business Administratrion required.
    • Master’s degree or programme in Corporate Compliance is highly valued.
    • Strong knowledge of rules and legislation (local & international) related to Compliance and AMLFT.
    • Minimum 2 years experience in business and contractual matters at multinational companies. The candidate should demonstrate expertise in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing contracts, with a strong focus on risk identification and mitigation. Practical knowledge of corporate law. 
    • Critical and analytical thinking, with a pragmatic business-oriented approach.
    • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and impartiality.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict management skills.
    • Ability to lead change processes and actively promote an ethical and compliance-driven culture within the organisation.
    • Willingness and availability to travel when required in Europe.
    • Advanced professional level of English is required; French is desirable.
