Job description

Geode Health is a rapidly growing, national provider of outpatient mental health services. Our Mission is to “Transform mental health by making it more accessible, affordable and effective”.

We are looking for passionate Therapists for both full and part time roles.  The ideal candidate will be motivated by joining a quickly growing organization, and excited to help us improve the care experience for patients and providers.  Applicants must be licensed to practice and have experience working with adult and/or child and adolescent populations.  

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders    

  • Facilitate sessions with individuals, groups, or families    

  • Refer clients to specialists if necessary    

  • Create a treatment plan based on each client's needs    

  • Monitor client progress during treatment    

  • Examine issues including substance abuse, aging, bullying, anger management, careers, depression, relationships, LGBTQ issues, self-image, stress and suicide    

  • Help clients define goals, plan action and gain insight    

  • Take a holistic (mind and body) approach to mental health care 

  • Diagnose and treat patients from different backgrounds/diverse backgrounds in a respectful manner  

  • Document and navigate EHR independently and in a timely manner. 

  • Work collaboratively with clinical leadership, billing, and compliance to ensure accurate and appropriate documentation. 

 

Qualifications : 

  • Fully Licensed Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or similar)    

  • Prior experience in psychotherapy    

 

Working Conditions:  

  • Standard office environment with occasional travel to client locations. 

  • May involve evening or weekend hours to accommodate client schedules. 

  • Potential exposure to stressful situations and emergency scenarios. 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to sit for 3-4 hours at a time between patient care and documentation. 

  • Fine finger coordination required for typing, pressing objects such as utilizing laptop/mouse for documentation purposes 

  • Ability to speak clearly with patients and team members so others can understand.  

  • Ability to hear and understand others when speaking  Ability to view computer screen monitor, small objects few feet away  

  • Ability to act and move quickly in emergency situations involving patient care
