We are currently seeking an Associate Director to serve as a Portfolio Manager for the Advanced Land Warfare portfolio. The Advanced Emerging Technology (AET) directorate is part of the Raytheon Advanced Technology strategic business unit and is responsible for developing systems that push the boundaries of the state of the art. Focused on both improving performance and lowering cost, AET has a broad range of development efforts funded by various DoD customers including the services and research labs. In addition, AET is involved in IRAD projects that explore new capabilities and applications of our technologies.
This portfolio develops advanced weapon solutions for the Army and the Marines, as well as technology development efforts with broad applicability. These programs include loitering munitions, compact guided munitions, counter UAS systems, advanced propulsion, and a wide variety of associated technology developments.
This role is onsite, and located in Tucson, Arizona.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with the Capture Managers and Technical Directors to develop compelling proposals and white papers
- Execute complex technical efforts to meet customer expectations and win programs that will transition to other product lines for production
- Support Program Managers as they execute demonstration efforts as well as science and technology development programs
- Display strong communication and presentation skills with both leadership and external customers
- Responsible for management of a variety of contract and associated IRAD projects
- Travel up to 20% for customer engagements
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
- Experience writing and leading responses to solicitations (RFIs, RFPs, etc.), including white papers and/or proposals
- Experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for programs with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, Scope Board, or similar business processes
- Experience leading cross-functional teams including Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, and/or Manufacturing/Operations
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and program access after start
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with the land warfare customer base
- Demonstrated success creating and maintaining strong executive level relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers
- Experience leading proposal efforts (>100M) through corporate level gating processes
- Experience with contract negotiations and execution with varying contract types (IDIQ, OTA, Etc)
- Experience leading missile development activities
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and manage a high-mix workload (multiple projects at once)
- Familiarity with government acquisition process
- Program Management Level 3 Certification or equivalent
- Active Top Secret U.S. government security clearance

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
