What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney’s GTF MRO Engine Center in West Palm Beach is looking for an experienced engineering professional to support jet engine overhaul and engine hardware inspection. This role is part of the WPB MRO Aftermarket Engineering team and involves direct customer interaction to ensure engineering requirements are accurately translated to the shop floor.  The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving how technical data is communicated and utilized by teams responsible for ensuring compliance.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor EMP/CEMP changes and translate requirements into SAP system updates

  • Gather and incorporate customer feedback to enhance how inspection requirements are captured and documented

  • Support quarterly engine manual updates to ensure ongoing compliance with the latest technical data

  • Own configuration management of service bulletins, ESEOs, EAs, and SIs, ensuring availability during bench inspection

  • Develop and implement solutions to improve internal systems and processes related to technical data sign-offs, reducing risk and ensuring compliance

  • Provide clarity and intent of EMP requirements to the shop floor

 

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Advanced degree and 6+ months of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant industry experience; OR associate’s degree and 4+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training (i.e. A&P) and 6+ years of relevant industry experience

 

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field; Engineering preferred

  • Advanced knowledge and experience working with gas turbine engines particularly in an FAA Repair Station MRO environment involving the GTF family of engines

  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, FAA repairmen’s certificate, or equivalent

  • Familiarity with 14 CFR Part 145 as it pertains to a repair station Quality requirements

  • Ability to interpret of ATA 100 technical manuals

  • Organizational and project management skills, PMP certification preferred

  • Continuous Improvement experience such as LEAN, CORE, ACE, or Six-Sigma training

  • Experience working with MS Office, SAP ERP, and Solumina G7 MES

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and motivate teams to achieve business goals

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
