Accounting Manager

Role Summary

The Accounting Manager will own the month-end close and general ledger accounting operations for Alpha Lion. In this role, you will execute close tasks with precision, maintain accurate and well-documented GL records, and continuously improve accounting processes to support a fast-growing business. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across time zones and serve as a key contributor to the Finance team's ability to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute month-end close tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, transaction coding, and financial statement preparation
• Maintain GL accuracy and ensure all entries are properly supported and audit-ready
• Complete recurring weekly accounting tasks such as data sync monitoring, transaction processing, and report maintenance
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
• Partner with cross-functional teams on ad hoc projects including ERP improvements, data flows, and tax preparation support

What Success Looks Like

• Month-end close tasks are completed on time with clean reconciliations and minimal rework
• GL records are accurate, well-documented, and immediately reviewable
• Process improvements are proactively identified and implemented
• Internal and external stakeholders receive clear, proactive, and timely communication

Experience & Skills

• 4+ years of accounting experience with direct ownership of month-end close and GL accounting
• NetSuite proficiency preferred
• Experience with ecommerce or small/medium US companies preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English; comfortable working with global teams across time zones

Compensation

2,000~$2,500 USD/month. Offer will reflect experience, skill set, and local market alignment.
