POSITION OVERVIEW
The Welding Salesperson is responsible for developing new business, building long-term client relationships, and supporting the estimating and proposal process for welding and related services. This role works closely with project managers, estimators, suppliers, and clients to win work and drive profitable growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements
- Review project specifications, drawings, and scope documents
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and overhead
- Develop and submit professional bid proposals on time and in compliance
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Obtain and evaluate competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors
- Participate in bid reviews and client follow-ups
- Identify project risks and assist in mitigation planning
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners

Training & Support Provided
- Shadowing experienced, successful sales professionals
- One-on-one sales coaching and group training
- Ongoing mentorship and performance feedback
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3–5 years of relevant field experience
- Proven sales experience (welding or industrial services preferred)
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, equipment, and materials
- Experience with estimating and proposal development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with CRM systems and sales tools
- Willingness to travel as needed
SCHEDULE & LOCATION
- Typical hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (flexibility required)
- Location: Office-based with field visits
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $100,000–$125,000 base salary, depending on experience
- Performance-based bonus tied to sales goals
