Software Engineer (Java/Full-Stack)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with extensive experience in Java and the Spring ecosystem to join our development team. This role focuses on building scalable applications, managing complex data transformations, and leveraging cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader capable of delivering robust backend solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using Core Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Cloud & Integration: Build and deploy scalable services within AWS environments and implement efficient data queries using GraphQL.
• Data Transformation: Utilize JOLT for JSON-to-JSON transformations and XSLT for XML-based processing to ensure seamless data integration across systems.
• Scripting & Automation: Utilize Python for automation, scripting, or supplementary service development as needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Technical Qualifications

• Backend Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Core Java and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).
• API & Cloud: Proven experience with GraphQL and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Data Tools: Solid understanding of data mapping and transformation tools, specifically JOLT and XSLT.
• Languages: Strong command of Python for backend logic or automation tasks.

Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Work Arrangement: This is a Hybrid role. Candidates must be able to work from the NJ office at least 3 days per week.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
