Overview JOB PURPOSE As a Construction Supervsor you will leads and manage Rhode Island Energy Construction Management functions throughout the lifecycle of a project. Responsible for ensuring projects are planned, designed, constructed, and commissioned in a manner consistent with Rhode Island Energy specified policies and procedures. Responsibilities Essential Functions • Responsible for field leadership and oversight of all contracted construction work; ensuring safe completion of the defined scope of work on budget, on schedule, and to the quality levels specified in the • Manages or self-performs activities and tasks to successfully contract out Rhode Island Energy work including outage planning, outage submission, permit & tag, switching, construction scope of work, managing contractor crews, verifying material • Participate in the review and award of construction proposals with Rhode Island Energy Sourcing; understands the terms and conditions in contracts and manages construction contractors to terms and Reviews and approves construction change orders for work not in scope, or changes to scope of work. Participates in claims dispute and resolution sessions. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree, Project Management professional (PMP), or Certified Construction manager (CCM) Certification. • Two years of experience as a construction or project manager in the power industry. • Supervisory experience. • Working knowledge of critical-path-method scheduling tools and project budgets, and/or industry investigation tools.
