Epic is seeking a Consultant Environmental Scientist to join our Strategic Water Services team, working out of our growing Sydney office where you will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

  • Regularly participating in field work, sometimes in remote locations
  • Assisting in both contaminated land and water projects, undertaking soil sampling, gas monitoring, groundwater sampling, sediment sampling and surface water sampling
  • Undertaking field investigations, data interpretation and report preparations
  • Engaging with internal and external clients and subcontractors in planning and delivering high quality outcomes
  • Preparing written reports, including a high level of attention to detail and using objective driven focus

Your Expertise and Skills

These requirements reflect the experience and skills that support success in this role.

  • 1-2 years of experience in an environmental consultancy
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline
  • Working knowledge of relevant QLD and NSW environmental legislation
  • Working knowledge of international closure standards and guidelines as week as state-based Australian environmental legislation and policies
