Job description

The Construction Quality Manager oversees quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the construction phase of a project. The role works closely with the project team to ensure on‑site work meets agreed standards for quality, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support quality assurance and quality control processes on site.
  • Review and monitor contractor quality plans and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Work with project teams to promote consistent quality practices and standards.
  • Identify quality issues and support corrective actions to maintain scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Plan and carry out quality audits and inspections.
  • Track, analyse, and report quality data, non‑conformance, and improvement actions.
  • Support continuous improvement of quality processes and controls.
  • Maintain clear documentation of audits, issues, lessons learned, and outcomes.
  • Stay informed on relevant construction standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and training to project stakeholders on quality processes and expectations.
  • Support the use of systems and tools to improve efficiency, transparency, and traceability in quality management.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in construction, engineering, quality, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in construction quality, commissioning, or similar project environments.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and continuous improvement methods.
  • Familiarity with construction methods, MEP and structural works, and industry standards.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, and structured problem‑solving.
  • Working knowledge of construction technologies and quality documentation tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Clear communicator able to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
