You are part of the IGTD Strategy Execution Office (SEO), that is responsible for translating strategic goals into actionable plans that are rigorously executed. The portfolio manager facilitates the creation of Business Cases, Project Updates, and Project Closure for a broad variety of projects, like business process improvement, IT deployments, external partnerships and cross business strategic initiatives.
You serve as the single point of contact for strategic oversight of the SEO initiatives and are responsible for planning, prioritizing and execution governance. The role coordinates amongst cross-functional stakeholders in IT, BU Functions and Program Managers to develop the portfolio roadmap, drive investment decisions, execution and impact realization. The Portfolio Manager reports to the PSE Leader.
Your role:
Portfolio Planning:
Lead End-to-end orchestration of IT AOP processes for the BU, including cross-BU and Central Function alignments.
As a Single point of contact for PSE, BU Functions, Central Functions, and IT - orchestrate demand intake, validate scope (charters) and assesses business cases quality.
Lead portfolio prioritization process by providing data driven recommendations facilitating the Business Leaders, PSE Leader and SEO LT in making informed trade-off decisions.
Portfolio Execution & Governance:
Establish and run portfolio governance cadences, monitor schedule and finance performance address and/or escalate deviations promptly.
Provide fact-based reporting for IGTD Leadership on impact realization, portfolio status, risks, budget and resources.
Identify and manage portfolio-level budget overrun and underrun risks proactively with Enterprise IT teams, BU Finance, IT Leads, and Project managers.
Monitor and close the loop on sponsor-led impact realization activities to confirm intended business value and outcomes are endorsed and achieved.
Establish and align project execution process within the portfolio.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
Ensure seamless communication and alignment across business, regions, functions, and IT.
Mature Portfolio and Project Management practices through peer level knowledge sharing and coaching of project managers.
You're the right fit if you have the following skills and experience:
7+ years of experience in portfolio, program, and project management within medical devices, imaging, diagnostics, or healthcare technology.
Demonstrated financial acumen, including business case development and NPV/ROI analysis; strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions among diverse stakeholders and drive decision-making.
Experience managing and leading cross-functional governance within a matrix organization.
Experience with resource and capacity planning.
Proven track record of coaching others and establishing project management standards is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
Project or program management certification (PMP preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote).
Strong communication and reporting skills, including presenting to executive management.
