Job description

Job Description: As a Depot Parts & Materials Coordinator, you will ensure repair technicians have the parts, materials, and supplies needed to complete their work efficiently. This role manages the depot inventory lifecycle — from ordering and receiving to stocking and distribution — while maintaining chemical safety compliance through SDS database management and proper labeling practices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process Depot Parts Requests and distribute parts to technicians as needed.
  • Maintain and organize the Depot Inventory, including receiving, cataloging, and stocking parts in Vidmar storage systems.
  • Order parts and supplies for technicians and the depot, coordinating with vendors and procurement as needed.
  • Sign for and process Depot Purchase Orders through Receiving.
  • Close out Depot Reports by managing the Parts Ordered Clock for technicians.
  • Prepare and submit monthly BER (Beyond Economical Repair) Reports.
  • Maintain the internal and online SDS Databases, including adding new chemicals, verifying proper labeling, and removing expired entries.
  • Update and display current Chemical Lists on Flame Lockers and maintain the facility MSDS binder.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively across teams.
  • Basic proficiency with spreadsheets, inventory systems, or database tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in inventory control, parts distribution, warehouse operations, or supply coordination.
  • Familiarity with SDS/MSDS compliance requirements and chemical handling documentation.
  • Associate degree or coursework in supply chain, business, logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with ERP systems, inventory management software, or parts tracking tools.
