Attorney - Senior Associate or Counsel - Labor & Employment Requirements & Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York Bar, or eligibility for prompt admission
• Minimum 3–5 years of labor and employment law experience
• Demonstrated ability in handling investigations and litigation
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and exercise sound judgment
• Commitment to client service and the highest ethical standards

Attorney - Senior Associate or Counsel - Labor & Employment Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct internal corporate and government investigations for employer clients
• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues, including FMLA, ADA, and NYS Civil Service Law
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, and in mediations or arbitrations
• Assist in collective bargaining negotiations with labor unions
• Defend against wage and hour, collective, and class action matters, as well as NLRB and PERB filings
