Labourer Non Ferrous Receiver

AIM is currently seeking a Labourer – Non‑Ferrous Receiver for its Thetford Mines site. This is a full‑time, permanent position, with a work schedule from Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the general upkeep of the site and for supporting daily production operations, including the sorting of ferrous and non‑ferrous metals. The candidate must work safely at all times by wearing the required personal protective equipment and strictly following safety procedures.

What you will be responsible for :

• Welcoming customers, applying established procedures, and providing excellent customer service;
• Informing customers of current prices, entering data into the RECY system, and ensuring proper administrative follow-up;
• Unloading, sorting, inspecting, weighing, and preparing materials received or shipped;
• Identifying, classifying, and determining the type and quality of ferrous and non‑ferrous metals;
• Operating various industrial machinery and tools (loader, forklift, torch), including assisting with torch cutting as needed;
• Preparing incoming and outgoing material shipments, while working primarily outdoors in an industrial environment;
• Performing daily maintenance, ensuring the required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), maintaining cleanliness and order on site, and carrying out any other related tasks.
