VICE PRESIDENT OF MEDICAL SOLUTIONS
We are looking for a Vice President of Medical Solutions to be the strategic architect at the intersection of Life Sciences expertise and AI innovation. You will lead the Medical Solutions and Strategy team to drive revenue through expert pre-sales solutioning, ensure flawless professional services delivery, and act as the chief evangelist for an 'AI-First' approach to Medical Affairs. Your goal is to transform how the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies harness data to drive clinical and commercial impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Team Management
- Team Scaling: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Medical Strategy Directors and Solution Architects.
- Operational Excellence: Define and manage the department’s budget, resource allocation, and internal workflows to ensure the team supports growth targets.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as a key member of the leadership team, aligning Medical Solutions with Sales, Product, and Engineering.
Pre-Sales Solutioning & Commercial Impact
- Technical-Medical Discovery: Partner with Sales to lead discovery sessions, mapping complex business challenges to AI-driven solutions.
- Value Engineering: Develop ROI models and Business Value Assessments (BVAs) that demonstrate the impact of AI on manual burden.
- Solution Design: Oversee the creation of technical blueprints ensuring solutions are both medically impactful and technically feasible.
Professional Services & Implementation
- Delivery Excellence: Oversee the transition from Sales to Implementation, ensuring adherence to scope, timing, and medical compliance.
- Change Management: Design and lead change management frameworks for Tier-1 pharma clients to ensure high user adoption.
- Best Practice Playbooks: Establish 'Medical AI Playbooks' to standardize the onboarding of Field Medical, Insights, and Publication teams.
AI-First Evangelism & Thought Leadership
- Market Transformation: Serve as the chief advocate for the 'AI-First Medical Affairs' paradigm shift, educating the market on predictive insights.
- Executive Influence: Lead steering committees with Pharma C-suite to align digital transformation roadmaps with Sorcero’s AI capabilities.
- External Presence: Maintain high-profile presence at industry conferences (MAPS, ISMPP) through keynotes and authored white papers.
Measurable Success Criteria (KPIs)
- Technical Win Rate: Target % of deals where medical solution design is validated by the prospect.
- Time-to-Value: Reduction in duration from contract signature to 'Go-Live'.
- Net Revenue Retention (NRR): Support account expansion through successful implementations.
- User Adoption: Achieve Monthly Active Usage (MAU) thresholds across deployed accounts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced Degree: PharmD, PhD, or MD required.
- Industry Experience: 10+ years in Medical Affairs; 5+ years in senior leadership.
- SaaS/AI Fluency: Experience in Enterprise SaaS or leading digital transformation in pharma.
- Commercial Acumen: Success supporting high-value enterprise deals ($500k+ ARR)

- Based within the US
- Demonstrated experience within a high growth startup
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Sorcero is a remote and globally distributed team. We offer rewarding compensation that will include a base salary and variable compensation depending on experience & location.
