Program Manager

The Program Manager will lead the planning and execution of a scholarship program for secondary school students in Lagos.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, a self-starter, and solutions-oriented, interested in working within grassroots education or youth-focused environments.

The role is designed as a phased project, where responsibilities evolve across planning, participant sourcing and selection, and on-ground execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Planning & Coordination

• Work closely with the founder to plan and execute the scholarship program

• Provide local insights to improve planning and execution

2. Participant Sourcing & Outreach

• Drive application awareness through offline and online channels

• Lead the distribution of application materials across schools; engage with school administrators, teachers, and local networks

• Managing participants' application and selection process

3. Vendor and Logistics Management

• Source and manage vendor relationships; negotiate pricing and related service terms 

• Oversee participant attendance and coordination, including daily pickup and drop-off logistics for participants

4. Data Management & Reporting

• Create and organize the data repository; provide regular program updates 

 

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in program coordination, operations, or project management

• Familiarity with schools, youth programs, or community initiatives

• Basic design skills (Canva or similar tools)

• Comfortable using tools like Google Forms,  spreadsheets, and AI automation tools

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently

• This is a 2-3 months contract role
