Job description
As a member of a team providing services to Airbus D&S, you will have the following responsibility:
- Performance of structural analyses for the justification of allowable damage limits and repairs of the High Lift structure
- Utilization of Finite Element Modelling (FEM) for linear and non-linear assessments using Nastran, including post-processing of results with HyperView
- Documentation of analysis results in the relevant justification reports for technical approval and authorization
- Provision of input data to design teams for the preparation and publication of the Structural Repair Manual (SRM)
- Support of on-time delivery of input data from various teams (Airbus internal, risk-sharing partners and subcontractors)
- Exchange, cooperation and coordination with the different SRM skill teams (design, authoring and management)
- Proposal and implementation of ideas to ensure full SRM availability at Entry Into Service with the highest quality standards
- Continuous development of methods and skills to simplify daily tasks and ensure faster delivery with improved quality of deliverables
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (minimum Bachelor's or Mechanical Engineering;
- Experience in Aircraft construction (at least 2 years); Project management (at least 3 years); Stress engineer (at least 4 years)
- Experience in FEM (Finite Element Modeling)
- Knowledge of Python (at least basic knowledge of functions); Nastran (at least detailed specialized knowledge); Google Workspace skills;
- Knowledge of project management (minimum basic knowledge) and static analysis methods for metallic and composite structures are required.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of German is an advantage.
