Job description

We are seeking an experienced Platinum Client Account Manager to lead and grow a confidential, strategic enterprise account within our Transport line of business. This role stewards a multi-year portfolio for our Transport Business in Melbourne, encompassing network upgrades and expansions across road and rail corridors, stations and precincts, tunnels and interchanges, as well as mobility and ITS solutions, active transport, bus programs, and digital/asset data transformation.

Operating across Australia and New Zealand, the manager will set the account vision and strategy while cultivating C-suite and senior relationships. This involves orchestrating integrated delivery across advisory, planning and approvals, design and engineering, digital and data, environmental and sustainability and program/project management to achieve measurable outcomes in safety, reliability, capacity and decarbonisation.

Key focus areas include uncovering client goals and challenges, aligning our engineering solutions with their objectives, and driving pipeline origination and qualification. The manager will shape win themes for major pursuits, embed ESG and resilience considerations in bids and mobilise enterprise capabilities to create differentiated value.

Additionally, this position provides senior oversight on strategic initiatives, such as executive workshops and stakeholder engagement, while leading regular business reviews that offer performance insights and improvement actions. Championing client experience and continuous improvement will also be essential to the role.

How you’ll make a difference

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with client executives, delivery partners and industry stakeholders to unlock strategic opportunities.

  • Leverage professional networks to identify new pursuits and foster partnerships that drive growth across Transport.

  • Convert qualified leads into long-term partnerships through targeted engagement and value-led solutioning.

  • Track transport market trends, policy shifts, and competitor movements to inform account strategy and positioning.

  • Translate insights into tailored offerings that align with client priorities (e.g., capacity, reliability, decarbonisation).

  • Drive account growth through consultative selling and structured account planning.

  • Negotiate favourable, risk-aware terms that create mutual value and strengthen long-term relationships.

  • Manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders to ensure timely, quality and compliant delivery.

  • Collaborate across advisory, design, environmental, digital and PMO teams to align execution with client objectives

The qualities that help you thrive

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.

  • Proven experience in account management, preferably within Transport engineering or technical services, with a strong growth track record on complex, multi-service accounts.

  • Results driven with a focus on measurable outcomes, client satisfaction and portfolio growth.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence senior stakeholders, and maintain enduring client relationships.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to identify and capitalise on revenue opportunities, complemented by a creative problem-solving mindset and innovative solutions.

  • Innovative thinker who can propose creative, scalable solutions that differentiate our offer and advance resilience/ESG goals.

  • Experience working with CAM teams, capture managers, and pursuit directors on positioning activities for major pursuits.

  • Degree in business, engineering, project management, strategy, or a related field.
