Systems Engineer I

Saalex Corporation is seeking multiple Systems Engineer I in Tidewater, VA and San Diego, CA. Salary: $85k-$140k (depending on experience) The Systems Engineer I supports the Navy by designing, engineering, and integrating enterprise IT systems and architectures across global Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) environments. Essential Functions: Support system engineering tasks including design and documentation. Assist with integration and testing. Develop technical documentation. Support system configuration analysis. Other duties as assigned or required.

Required: 1–3 years of experience in relevant field. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience supporting enterprise IT environments. Knowledge of RMF, STIGs, and DoD environments. Desired: Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs. Familiarity with virtualization, cloud, or enterprise systems. Relevant certifications (Security+, RHCSA, AWS, etc.). Additional Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in complex environments. Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance. Active clearances preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
