Job description

The position has been established for the purpose of supporting the electrical and automation systems onboard DP vessels engaged in subsea cable laying and protection projects. It requires a strong electrical and offshore background, with experience in marine and industrial systems. As an Electrician, your primary role is to ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical equipment and systems onboard. All vessels are operating under the Greek flag. The position follows a rotation schedule of approximately 2.5 months onboard. Main Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems onboard the vessel, including generators, switchboards, transformers, and UPS systems; Ensure continuous and safe operation of DP (Dynamic Positioning) electrical and control systems; Support cable laying and protection equipment such as cable engines, tensioners, winches, and associated control systems; Diagnose and resolve electrical faults under real-time offshore conditions; Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment; Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and system performance; Participate in onboard troubleshooting during critical operations; Ensure compliance with project requirements, technical standards, and company procedures; Support commissioning, system upgrades, and integration of new equipment; Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and guidelines;

Education & Training Technical degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant field or multiple years of experience onboard vessels; Good oral and written communication skills in English language; Valid seafarer certifications (STCW, Safety, Medical etc..); Familiarity with electrical and automation systems in marine or industrial environments; Basic knowledge of PLC systems and electrical control systems will be considered an asset; Experience Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a similar role onboard vessels or offshore installations; Experience on DP vessels and cable laying or subsea operations will be considered an advantage; Experience with marine electrical systems, power distribution, and automation systems;
