Overnight Studio Cleaner & Lead

Slate is a commercial cleaning company specializing in overnight and scheduled janitorial services for business clients. Leveraging standardized checklists, photo documentation, and app-based quality control, Slate ensures consistent, high-quality results for boutique fitness studios and other commercial spaces. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive working independently during overnight hours and enjoy maintaining pristine environments. As part of a two-person team, you'll be responsible for deep cleaning a boutique fitness studio and, for the Lead position, overseeing shift logistics and supply management. Key responsibilities include: Deep clean fitness studio areas including equipment, floors, mirrors, restrooms, lobby, and retail spaces Take before and after photos at each visit to document quality Follow a detailed bilingual cleaning checklist to ensure thoroughness Clock in and out via mobile app at each location (Lead) Track inventory of cleaning supplies and place restocking orders as needed (Lead) Manage cleaner attendance and coordinate same-night shift coverage when necessary

Required Qualifications: Reliable personal vehicle for commuting to the Charlottesville, VA work site Consistent overnight availability for shifts starting at 11:00 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday Ability to use a smartphone for clocking in/out and uploading before/after photos Authorized to work in the United States Able to perform cleaning physical demands including lifting, carrying, stairs, and prolonged bending/kneeling Preferred Qualifications: Experience working independently on overnight or unsupervised shifts Prior commercial or janitorial cleaning experience Prior lead or supervisory experience Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

Competitive hourly pay: $16/hr for Cleaner, $18/hr for Lead Performance bonuses for high-quality ratings and shift streaks (up to ~$340/month) Solo coverage bonuses for additional responsibility Flexible part-time schedule with overnight shifts Opportunity for advancement to Lead position
