Job description
Department Radiation Oncology_PAV Job Summary Dosimetrist position located out the new Milman-Kover Cancer Pavilion in Sarasota, FL (Sarasota Memorial Hospital's campus). $7,500 hiring bonus available. The Medical Dosimetrist is responsible for designing a treatment plan and accurately calculating the delivery of radiation treatment based on the Radiation Oncologist’s prescribed course of radiation therapy and according to established practices and standards. Required Qualifications - Require successful completion of an accredited two- (2-) year Medical Dosimetry program with training in the usage of Varian Medical Systems software and equipment, specifically Eclipse, or a minimum of three (3) years of radiation oncology clinical experience as a dosimetrist with experience utilizing Varian Medical Systems software and equipment, specifically Eclipse. - Require board eligible for Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification. Preferred Qualifications - Prefer experience in stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS and SBRT) high dose rate brachytherapy. - Prefer proficiency in image registration with various image sets to include CT, MRI and PET. *Position is 100% on-site (not remote).
