Job Description/Leadership Responsibilities

• Leadership responsibilities are in addition to current technical roles both inside and outside of the lab
• Responsible for the direct management of the non-leadership employees in the department
• Supervise others in performing client’s service requirements
• Coach, train, and develop others within the tram with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements to maximize performance
• Conduct semiannual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, perform succession planning in preparation for growth
• Confront and address problems, concerns, and performance issues
• Foster motivation and morale
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Monitor and approve employees’ time worked through time-entry system
• Demonstrate, support and promote company policies and procedures
• Attend mandatory and applicable leadership trainings
• Expand self-awareness and develop leadership skills as defined within job description and leadership trainings
• Demonstrate exceptional and effective communication within the department and various client areas
• Perform and/or assign other duties as requested to ensure smooth operation of team
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Monitoring data for and utilizing departmental metrics
• Make recommendations for operational and/or technical improvements
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related science (biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, pharmaceutical or equivalent sciences degree), or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full time year if college in related major) 
• Three years of relevant experience (Preferred) 
• Strong leadership, initiative and team building skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) 
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude  

This position is Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Malvern, PA are encouraged to apply.
