Job Responsibilities:
• Executes hardware requirements analysis, showcasing advanced judgment and autonomy in discerning optimal design solutions for components in Philips products, working under general supervision.
• Handles the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and protocols to validate hardware designs, demonstrating proficiency and autonomy in ensuring compliance with established processes and standards.
• Ensures documentation of hardware design specifications, test results, and validation procedures, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards, while supervising the documentation efforts of junior team members.
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and precise datuming techniques to create and interpret complex engineering drawings, ensuring accurate dimensioning, tolerancing, and tolerancing stack-ups.
• Implements stringent drawing standards, including ISO-A and ISO-E formats, ensuring all engineering documentation incorporates precise datum references.
• Conducts the implementation of hardware design improvements, leveraging deep insights and experience from testing and evaluation activities to spearhead innovation initiatives and enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Demonstrates expertise in troubleshooting hardware issues, taking initiative to identify and resolve complex technical challenges and minimize production downtime, while mentoring junior team members in problem-solving techniques.
• Assesses design reviews and technical discussions, providing comprehensive insights and recommendations based on extensive expertise and experience in hardware engineering, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.
• Adheres to company policies, procedures, and quality standards, offering guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members to ensure consistent compliance and excellence in execution.
• Interacts with external vendors and suppliers, performing the evaluation of hardware components and technologies for potential integration into Philips products, and orchestrating strategic partnerships to propel innovation and mutual success.
• Monitors and maintains the performance and reliability of hardware components and systems, proactively identifying areas for improvement and spearheading initiatives to optimize product performance and reliability.
• Cultivates effective relationships, shares knowledge, and provides influence over projects and peer groups, demonstrating full understanding of area of specialization.
Minimum required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering OR Vocational Education in Information Technology or equivalent.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
