Job Summary
Mass General Brigham is looking for an Associate Creative Director who leads from the front—elevating the work by elevating the team. You’ll play a key role in bringing the brand to life across a world-class healthcare system, finding new and compelling ways to tell stories that connect people to the care they need.This role partners closely with the Executive Creative Director to bring the brand vision to life, while owning the day-to-day creative output. You’ll lead projects, mentor talent and ensure every piece of work is thoughtful, impactful and on brand. It’s an opportunity to shape creative in an organization driven by purpose—improving lives through better health.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
Experience
8+ years of marketing experience required. 10+ years of experience in a creative or agency environment strongly preferred
7+ years leading and developing creative teams
A strong portfolio that demonstrates concept, craft and storytelling across channels
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Expertise in brand storytelling, creative direction, and multi-channel execution
Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development capabilities
Effective project management with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines
Advanced concept development and design skills with a focus on quality and innovation
Ability to translate strategic objectives into compelling, on-brand creative solutions
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Proficiency in delivering clear, constructive feedback to elevate team performance
Awareness of design trends and ability to apply insights to creative work
What you’ll do:
Collaborative leadership
Manage, mentor and inspire a team of designers and creatives, creating an environment where great ideas thrive
Provide clear, actionable feedback that pushes the work—and the team—forward
Support career growth through coaching, development and hands-on guidance
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and creative excellence
Effective storytelling
Oversee projects from brief to final delivery, ensuring high-quality, on-brand execution across all channels
Be proactive in concepting, design direction and refinement—setting the bar for craft and storytelling
Balance multiple projects and priorities while maintaining creative integrity and deadlines
Partner with cross-functional teams to turn objectives into compelling creative solutions
Process guidance
Lead day-to-day project management for the creative team, ensuring smooth workflows and clear communication
Manage timelines, resources and deliverables across a range of fast-moving projects
Collaborate with external partners, freelancers and vendors to extend team capabilities when needed
Creative innovation
Bring fresh thinking and new perspectives to every brief
Stay plugged into design trends, tools and cultural shifts—and translate them into meaningful work
Encourage experimentation and thoughtful risk-taking within the team
