As a Temporary Ballot Tabulation Center (BTC) Adjudicator, you facilitate the election process by reviewing voters' intent, processing ballots, duplicating damaged ballots, and performing data entry.

We Require
This position requires a high school diploma or GED.
Other Requirements
- Must be a registered voter or have the ability to become a registered voter in the State of Arizona by the time of hire
- Must be a registered Republican or Democrat voter
- Must pass an applicable background screening
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary
- Must have legible penmanship
We Also Value
- One or more years of general office experience
- One or more years of moderate computer use experience
- One or more years of election experience
- One or more years of customer service experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Job Contributions
- Determines a voter’s intent on a bipartisan Duplication or Adjudication Board
- Reviews ballots using election's proprietary software to accurately assess a voter’s intent
- Collaborates in teams of two, each representing different political affiliations (e.g., Republican and Democrat)
- Ensures thorough and legible documentation throughout the tabulation procedure
- Assists other divisions within Elections or the Recorder’s Office with daily operations
Working Conditions
- Full-time/Temporary/Holidays/Overtime hours are mandatory during the election cycle
- Upper extremity repetitive motion is required, as well as the ability to review small fonts on a hard copy or computer screen for an extended period of time
- Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time
- All operations will be conducted under Livestream cameras and in the presence of political observers
- Must not engage in any political discussions
