PURPOSE:
TMICC is establishing its new Europe Trade & Compliance organization. This role will lead the systems, data, and compliance backbone for customs operations across EU/UK/IE. During the first 6–9 months, the job holder will focus on building the function from scratch, partnering closely with the new SAP project team, and actively contributing to project transition, system design, and testing activities. Once operational, the role ensures data integrity, robust controls, audit readiness, and consistent, compliant execution across all markets and 3PLs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead customs systems processes (ERP/GTM, broker interfaces) and support SAP project testing and transition
  • Ensure accuracy and governance of all trade‑critical master data
  • Oversee compliance controls, KPIs, and broker performance
  • Maintain audit‑ready documentation and support audits and risk mitigation
  • Provide operational support on customs data, systems, and documentation issues
  • Deliver training and align with cross‑functional teams (Logistics, Procurement, Finance/Tax, Legal, IT)

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Qualifications

  • Solid experience with customs/GTM systems (SAP, SAP GTS, Oracle TMS)
  • Strong understanding of EU/UK customs requirements and trade master data
  • 5+ years in trade compliance, customs operations, or supply chain systems roles
  • Experience working with brokers/3PLs and managing data governance
  • Familiarity with food‑industry customs requirements is a plus
  • Fluency in English and ideally German or French

  • Strong analytical capabilities, with hands-on experience using data analytics tools, Power BI, ERP/SCM systems, and trade-monitoring platforms.
