Anaplan Model Builder

About the Role

An Anaplan Model Builder designs, builds, and maintains Anaplan models to support business planning and forecasting. This role involves translating complex business requirements into scalable, multidimensional Anaplan models. You will work with various teams to understand business needs, ensuring data accuracy and model integrity while supporting end-users and driving continuous improvement across all Anaplan deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Be a part of the development and maintenance of BETSOL's Anaplan models, including financial, workforce planning and 360-degree planning modules
• Design and implement new Anaplan models and workflows to meet business requirements
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, multidimensional Anaplan models
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and prepare comprehensive project documentation, training materials, and administration guides
• Troubleshoot and resolve data and Anaplan-related issues and errors
• Develop and maintain documentation of Anaplan models, workflows, and processes
• Support Anaplan Center of Excellence (CoE) initiatives, including governance, security, model standards, and best practice management
• Build, enhance, and maintain Anaplan models, dashboards, and planning solutions
• Perform testing, issue resolution, and ensure model performance
• Improve data quality, usability, and overall system efficiency
• Connect with stakeholders and understand complex tasks and business requirements
• Stay up-to-date with Anaplan product updates and advancements, and implement new features and functionality as needed

Required Qualifications

Core Expertise

• Anaplan Level 3 Certified
• Anaplan Certified Solution Architect (preferred)
• Proven experience in large-scale Anaplan implementations, including solution design, development, deployment, and Hypercare support
• Strong hands-on model building and optimization experience
• Hands-on experience in finance and forecasting models
• Expertise in data modeling and integration with Anaplan connect and hands-on with Batch files.

Technical & Domain Knowledge

• Experience with FP&A, financial systems, and data modeling
• Ability to adapt to multiple use cases such as FP&A, Workforce Planning, Sales & Quota Planning.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• Primary experience in Anaplan modeling and exposure to RDBMS.
• Experience with integrations (APIs, Anaplan Connect, etc.)
• Experience building scalable Anaplan solutions and supporting financial planning processes

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and drive quality assurance across deliverables
• Ability to mentor and upskill junior Anaplan model builders, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices
• Strong focus on continuous improvement and adoption of best practices in Anaplan delivery
• Experience interacting with senior business stakeholders, managing client expectations, and providing strategic guidance
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and business users
• Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholder expectations

Strong ownership of deliverables and priorities

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical/IT field
• Overall IT experience 4-6 years.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Anaplan model building, solution architecture, data modeling, and data integration

It is a full-time role requiring a min of 8 hours per day
