What you'll do
The client is a young lady in her teenage years who has a multitude of complex care needs due to SMA Type-2, and during your day-to-day, you will be monitoring her various clinical needs, which include the following:
- Tracheostomy Management
- Ventilation Support
- PEG Feeding For Medication Administration & Hydration via Mic-Key Button
- Suctioning For Respiratory Secretions
- Catheter & Stoma Care
- Moving & Handling (Wheelchair & Hoist)
- Performing personal care and domestic duties when required, school preparations.
What you'll need
Experience in complex care is required for position prior to interview, especially in the following:
- Tracheostomy
- Ventilators (NIPPY 4)
- PEG / Gastronomy Care
- Catheter Care
- Bowel Management
- Administering medication via PEG
- Suction machines
- Moving & handling equipment. (Wheelchair & Hoist)
