Your Influential Mission: You Will…
- Work with the game producer to lead the concept and design of game art and animation, providing unique visual identities for each project.
- Create initial graphical direction through game documents and storyboards for complete 2D game art and animation, including characters, UI, symbols, screens, backgrounds, and marketing materials.
- Guide the design team, ensuring alignment with the product vision and technical requirements.
- Review and measure designers’ performance, offering constructive feedback and fostering growth.
- Collaborate closely with game producers, developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality assets on schedule.
- Oversee the animation, approving samples and suggesting improvements.
- Present graphic elements for management approval and report progress to leadership.
- Solve visual and functional challenges creatively throughout the game development process.
- Manage communication with stakeholders, including game owners and external partners.
Components for Success: You…
- Bring proven experience as an Art Director (2+ years), within the gaming industry. Also open to Art Team Leads, who are ready to make the step up to Art Director.
- Have advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and familiarity with Adobe Illustrator; knowledge of InDesign and other Adobe CC tools is a plus.
- Are adept with graphic AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Leonardo.ai, Stable Diffusion) for asset creation and enhancement.
- Demonstrate excellent drawing, graphic, and composition skills. Willing to be hands on if appropriate.
- Possess a deep understanding of design principles, current styles, and trends in gaming.
- Excel at giving and receiving feedback and communicate clearly within a team.
- Are highly creative, innovative, and able to multitask across multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Show strong organizational, problem-solving, and self-management abilities.
- Are fluent in English (written and spoken).

- Familiarity with the game development process, UI integration, and engine workflows.
- Technical skills such as scripting for automation and asset optimization.
- Experience with animation tools and previous work in competitor companies (Spine).
