Freelance Factory Auditor

Job description
- Freelancer with availability to conduct on‑site factory audits in the USA region
- Strong understanding of factory quality systems and manufacturing processes
- Experience working with third‑party inspection, testing, or certification bodies
- Familiarity with factory audit concepts as per ISO/IEC 17067 standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High level of professionalism, objectivity, and attention to detail
- Comfortable interacting with factory management at operational and managerial levels
- Capable of meeting tight reporting timelines and audit deliverables
- Open to participating in SGS trainings, inductions, and technical briefings as required
- Preferably hold an Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification
- Certified ISO 9001 (or other management systems such as ISO/TS 16949, HACCP, ISO 22000) Lead Auditor, with audit experience
- Proven experience in conducting factory audits
- Minimum of 1 year of technical or industry experience relevant to the product category being audited (e.g., building materials, electrical batteries, food contact materials, textiles)
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- Experience with SASO regulations would be an added advantage
