Job description

This role supports small molecule analytical development through hands‑on method development, optimization, and qualification. The scientist independently plans and executes experiments, analyzes and communicates data, troubleshoots technical issues, and provides analytical support for process and formulation development, all while working collaboratively in a cGMP/GLP‑compliant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute as part of a small team of scientists supporting the development, optimization, qualification, and verification of analytical methods for small molecule analytical development.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of analytical concepts to support fit‑for‑purpose method development.
  • Provide analytical support for process development and formulation development activities.
  • Independently plan, design, and execute experiments within area of expertise under limited supervision.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret data; effectively communicate results and conclusions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and implement solutions to technical issues and assay challenges.
  • Conduct all laboratory work in compliance with cGMP/GLP requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare clear, concise technical reports and documentation for the functional area.
  • Collaborate with departmental and cross‑functional team members to execute assigned projects and timelines.
  • Clarify experimental requests, provide scientific suggestions, and contextualize data to support data‑driven decisions.
  • Contribute significantly to project‑related laboratory execution within the functional area.
  • Coordinate work and share findings with team members to support overall project goals.
  • Learn and apply new techniques, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain accurate records, and follow company policies.
  • Effectively communicate complex data, findings, and technical decisions within the department.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Engineering, or a related pharmaceutical science with 2+ years of relevant industry experience, or a Master’s degree with 0–1 year of industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of analytical techniques with hands-on experience using multiple methods such as LC, GC, Dissolution, Karl Fischer, and spectroscopic instrumentation, particularly for synthetic molecules.
  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical industry practices, regulations, and standards.
  • Experience supporting analytical method development and validation for synthetic molecule products.
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills with the ability to efficiently document and manage data.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and propose appropriate solutions using available information.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely within a cross-functional team.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
