Job description

Portico is delighted to be recruiting for a Reception Supervisor to join our team at a leading American multinational investment bank and financial services firm in the heart of the City.

As Reception Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in bringing the client’s vision to life: exceeding expectations through intuitive service, meticulous planning, and uncompromising standards. You’ll lead by example, ensuring the team remains motivated, engaged, and proud of the service they deliver.

Your leadership will be central to maintaining the warm, polished, and seamless experience our client values, while fostering a culture where the team feels empowered to go above and beyond

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, shifts between 7am and 7pm, with occasional late cover until 9pm
Salary: £43,079 per annum

We are seeking a polished, confident, and service driven Reception Supervisor who can lead by example and uphold the exceptional standards expected within a prestigious corporate environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong leadership experience, operational capability, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding service.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Demonstrable experience supervising a team of 10 or more, with responsibility for first line management tasks including rota planning, holiday coordination, and absence management.
  • Proven track record of delivering and leading exceptional customer or guest service, with clear examples of how you have elevated service standards in previous roles.
  • Experience working within high end corporate, luxury hotel, or premium customer facing environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of service excellence within fast paced, high expectation settings.

  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and inspire a team to deliver consistently outstanding service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients, colleagues, and senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, with strong planning and prioritisation skills and a meticulous approach to maintaining operational standards.
  • Proactive and solutions focused, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and attention to detail.
