Position: DevOps Engineer with Security Clearance Job Number: R0236606 Dev Ops Engineer

The Opportunity

As a Dev Ops engineer, you're eager to build, manage, and secure a cloud-native container platform that meets your client's needs and takes full advantage of the cloud's capabilities. We need you to engineer container management and cloud management solutions to resolve some of our clients' toughest challenges. As a Dev Ops Engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change.

You'll work with your team as they use the latest cloud technologies to improve your client's environment with current container and cloud management solutions to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your Dev Ops platform expertise, you'll contribute to strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. You'll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers.

Additionally, you'll continue to strengthen your Dev Ops skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms. Work with us to use cloud platform technology for good. Join us. The world can't wait. You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in the development of tools and processes to drive Dev Ops or Dev Sec Ops maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
  • Experience developing, managing, and securing cloud-native solutions with a focus on containers in AWS
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, and updating Infrastructure-as-Code solutions such as AWS CDK, AWS Cloud Formation, or Terraform
  • Experience with Command of Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals such as member fields, object instantiation, and inheritance
  • Experience with AWS security services such as Guard Duty, Macie, Detective, or Inspector
  • Experience implementing a platform compliant with a body of standards such as FedRAMP Moderate, HIT RUS T, PCI DSS, or SOC2
  • Experience automating tasks of multiple levels of complexity ranging from simple tasks on your workstation to elaborate tasks involving deploys and tasks of complex logic
  • Experience using AI tooling to accelerate or streamline tasks
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in Dev Ops or Dev Sec Ops , or 8+ years of experience in Dev Ops or Dev Sec Ops in lieu of a degree Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Kubernetes administration and application deployment paradigms
  • Experience with AWS CDK
  • Experience with Type Script
  • Experience with logging and organization-management AWS solutions such as Cloud Watch, Identity Center , Open Search, and Organizations
  • Experience executing on Governance, Risk, and Compliance ( GRC ) needs within the FedRAMP Moderate or PCI DSS v4.0 regulatory regimes
  • Experience operating in a government-facing regulated environment with an Authorization to Operate ( ATO )
  • Experience triaging and resolving issues related to open-source and commer cia l tools in public cloud environments
  • Experience with keyboard engineering implementations
  • Experience with Amazon Q

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $ (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
