Teaching Assistant

Newstaff Employment Services is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support teaching staff and enhance student learning experiences in schools across the region. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an integral role in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, assisting with lesson delivery, and supporting individual student needs. This role offers flexible working arrangements suitable for those looking to gain experience in education or build on existing skills in an educational setting. Responsibilities: Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons and activities. Assist students with their learning, including providing one-to-one or small group support. Help maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment. Prepare and organize educational materials and resources. Monitor and report on student progress and behavior to teaching staff.

Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is advantageous. Relevant qualifications or training related to education or child care are preferred. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting children's learning and development. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different students and classroom environments.
