Job description

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operations

  • Vision Implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive wellness strategy that integrates spa operations, fitness, nutrition, and holistic well-being, ensuring alignment with Fairmont's brand standards and guest expectations.
  • Facility Oversight: Manage daily operations across all wellness facilities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and service excellence.
  • Guest Experience: Uphold a culture of personalized service, ensuring each guest interaction is memorable and exceeds expectations.

Financial Management

  • Budgeting: Prepare and manage the annual operating budget and financial forecasts for the wellness department.
  • Revenue Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth through spa services, memberships, retail sales, and special programs.
  • Cost Control: Monitor expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to budgetary constraints.

Team Development & Human Resources

  • Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of wellness professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations, providing feedback and development opportunities to team members.
  • Training Programs: Design and implement comprehensive training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about the latest wellness trends and techniques.

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Brand Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that highlight the wellness offerings.
  • Community Outreach: Establish partnerships with local organizations and participate in community events to promote the wellness center and attract local clientele.
  • Membership Programs: Design and manage wellness membership programs that cater to the needs of the local market, ensuring member satisfaction and retention.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all wellness operations comply with local health and safety regulations, as well as Fairmont's internal policies.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports related to financial performance, guest satisfaction, and operational metrics, providing regular updates to senior management.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, Wellness, or a related field.  Advanced certifications in spa or wellness management are advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior wellness or spa management role within a luxury hospitality environment.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting and revenue management.
  • Proficient in wellness trends, treatments, and holistic health practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives.

Flexibility

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the operation.

Language Proficiency

  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
