Job description

The role NH AIFM P/S is a Danish authorised Alternative Investment Fund Manager owned by Novo Holdings A/S, managing co-investment vehicles within the Life Science sector. We are seeking a Compliance Manager to act as the appointed Compliance Officer and independent second line of defense in accordance with the Danish FAIF and the EU AIFMD regulatory framework. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the compliance framework adopted by the NH AIFM Board of Directors, ensuring that NH AIFM operates in accordance with applicable regulation, internal policies, Code of Conduct and international standards. In your daily work you will report to the NH AIFM COO, with direct access to the Board of Directors on compliance matters and work closely with group entities external third-party providers to whom NH AIFM have either delegated activities or receives services from. You will join at a formative stage, with the opportunity to shape and further develop how the compliance framework is embedded and scaled in practice. This is a Board of Directors-facing compliance role with direct exposure to senior decision-makers and a high degree of responsibility within a regulated environment. You will operate at the center of NH AIFM’s compliance framework, with broad ownership across the compliance agenda and with the opportunity to influence how regulatory requirements are interpreted, implemented and embedded in practice. The role combines independent oversight with hands-on execution, close stakeholder interaction, and delegation and third-party oversight in a setting where compliance is an integrated part of the organisation’s operations, requiring both strong technical expertise and the ability to engage constructively with stakeholders across the business. Your responsibilities Conduct annual, risk-based compliance assessments of the internal and external delegated operation and set-up, and define the Compliance Plan for the Board of Directors’ approval Perform ongoing compliance monitoring and reviews in line with AIFMD requirements Assess regulatory developments and ensure policies and procedures remain aligned with applicable regulation Prepare compliance reporting to Management and the Board of Directors, and ensure adequate regulatory reporting Collaborate with internal stakeholders and delegated third-party providers on compliance matters Support key compliance areas such as AML/KYC, data protection and other relevant regulatory topics Manage conflicts of interest, including maintaining registers and ensuring proper handling and reporting Promote a strong compliance culture through training, guidance and stakeholder interaction Your profile Minimum 5-8 years of experience within compliance in the financial sector Strong understanding of the Danish FAIF and EU AIFMD framework and related regulation Hands-on experience working within an AIFM-regulated environment is preferred Experience with establishing and maintaining compliance frameworks, policies and processes Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical and workable solutions Strong analytical skills and structured approach with high attention to detail Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and initiatives Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including the Board of Directors Experience working in an international environment Professional proficiency in spoken and written English and preferably Danish Workplace The role is based in Copenhagen, Hellerup where we expect you to work onsite with a normal work-life balance.
