Vertex LLC is a distinguished behavioral health organization located in New York City, providing comprehensive outpatient services to individuals and families affected by substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our approach is rooted in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care, ensuring each client receives personalized treatment aimed at promoting recovery and community reintegration. We offer a supportive, collaborative environment for our clinical team and are seeking dedicated CASAC/CASAC-T Counselors to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, counselors will facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, develop client-centered treatment plans, and work closely with other clinical staff to deliver evidence-based interventions within OASAS guidelines. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling services to clients with substance use disorders in accordance with OASAS regulations. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each client. Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members, including medical providers, psychiatrists, and case managers. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, discharge summaries, and treatment plans. Participate in clinical meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives. Facilitate referrals to community resources and support services as needed to enhance client recovery. Adhere to all organizational policies, ethical standards, and OASAS requirements.
Valid Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) or CASAC-T license in New York State. At least 1 year of experience providing counseling services in a substance use disorder treatment setting preferred. Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and OASAS regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and demonstrate cultural competence. Commitment to trauma-informed and client-centered care.
