Job description
Saalex is seeking a Journeyman Logistician in Ridgecrest, CA. Saalex is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services. Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $72k-$80k annually (depending upon experience) Work Location: Fully onsite in China Lake, CA. We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Journeyman Logistician to join our on-site team at China Lake. You won't just be managing inventory; you'll be a vital part of the team ensuring that the advanced TCTS training and instrumentation systems are always mission ready. This is your opportunity to translate complex technical changes into real-world logistics solutions and directly contribute to the success of a critical DoD program. Essential Functions: Command the Inventory: Take charge of high-value program assets, overseeing everything from tracking and audits to reporting, ensuring 100% accountability. Drive System Evolution: Play a key role in implementing Technical Directives and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), ensuring our systems stay ahead of the curve. Be the Logistics Expert: Act as the bridge between software development and sustainment, analyzing how IT changes impact the entire support chain and planning accordingly. Uphold Mission Readiness: Apply your expertise in Integrated Product Support (IPS) to maintain flawless system baselines and ensure our supply and maintenance operations run smoothly. Innovate and Improve: Identify opportunities to enhance our logistics processes, mitigate risks, and boost efficiency across the program.
Required: 3–5 years of experience in logistics, sustainment, or Integrated Product Support. A solid understanding of inventory management, asset accountability, and configuration management. The ability to decipher technical information (IT, software) and determine its logistical impact. Proficiency with business tools like Excel and asset management databases. A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as a strong team collaborator. Desired: Prior experience supporting DoD or Navy programs. Familiarity with lifecycle logistics concepts and Navy systems (ERP, JDRS, Maximo). DAU Level I/II certification in Life Cycle Logistics or Program Management. Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Logistics, Business) or equivalent hands-on experience. Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
