Your contribution to something big:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Radar Sensor Business, you will play a crucial role in bringing our life-saving vision to reality. You will contribute to this goal by:
- Participation in complete Product Lifecycle: Requirements evaluation, Product Concept and Development, Engineering Change Requests.
- Creation and development of 3D design solutions, using CAD modelling tools and creation of 2D drawings by using existing specifications inside project, as well as creation of specifications for Suppliers and Production.
- Conduct constructive analysis of function, set-up and design, select/modify elements and document the optimization of components, systems, and products.
- Develop and validate technical solutions for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Support development teams from Concept Phase to Series.
- Team-up with manufacturing engineering to improve product design and support industrialization of new products.
- Support the product launch in series production and after start of production.
- Prepare documentation related to the mechanical design.
- Preparation of constructive designs and solutions, considering the process chain development and manufacturing operational conditions.
- Participation in problem solving teams, including participants from other departments such as Process,
Purchase, Quality, Suppliers.
What distinguishes you:
- Mechanical Engineer with experience in automotive product development (preferable with more than 5 years).
- Independent working attitude, ability to work inside teams from engineering, production, quality, suppliers
(national and international).
- Analytic mindset, willing to perform independently detailed technical investigations, both practical and theoretical.
- Knowledge in Design and Production of injections molded plastic, aluminum, and sheet metal parts.
- Knowledge of the Bosch industrialization processes, SE mechanical assembly, PCD, DFMA, and BPS.
- Knowledge in Part Dimensioning and GD&T and 3D tolerance analysis simulation (VSA).
- Knowledge in CAD (PTC CREO) in 2D and 3D modules and PLM (Windchill).
- Knowledge in PDM and ERP (SAP) Software.
- Knowledge in Quality and Problem-Solving Methods.
- Experience in D-FMEA and definition of Product Special Characteristics.
- Excellent communication skills towards management, suppliers, and customers
- Experience in creating and presenting technical documentations.
- Knowledge of Design for Reliability.
- Good English language skills, German would be a plus.
