Job Duties and Responsibilities Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview. We are looking for a technically proficient, hands-on manager responsible for the accuracy and integrity of EchoStar’s global consolidation process. This role partners closely with the Financial Systems team, Tax, and Treasury to manage complex eliminations, intercompany reconciliations, and equity accounting. This position also serves as a key lead for strategic special projects, including M&A integrations, corporate restructuring, and the implementation of complex GAAP accounting standards. What Success Looks Like (Objectives) Global Consolidations & Financial Integrity Lead the month-end and quarter-end consolidation process, ensuring all global entities are accurately rolled up and eliminated in accordance with US GAAP. Manage complex accounting areas including equity roll-ups, investment in subsidiaries, and cumulative translation adjustments (CTA). Partner closely with the Financial Systems Manager to ensure the Oracle-to-OneStream interface accurately reflects consolidation logic and metadata changes. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, streamlining the inquiry process and providing high-quality supporting documentation. Intercompany & Multi-Entity Management Oversee global intercompany reconciliations, ensuring all cross-entity balances are matched and eliminated, and that transfer pricing adjustments are correctly recorded. Manage the accounting for corporate restructuring activities, including legal entity reorganization, internal asset transfers, and liquidations. Ensure the integrity of the consolidated trial balance and provide detailed variance analysis for executive leadership. Strategic M&A & Integration Support Serve as the accounting lead for M&A special projects, including due diligence support, purchase price accounting (valuation/goodwill), and the onboarding of newly acquired entities into the consolidation framework. Lead the accounting workstreams for major corporate events such as debt refinancings, spin-offs, or complex equity transactions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize accounting policies across newly integrated business units. Technical GAAP Compliance & Journal Entries Review and approve high-level consolidation and elimination journal entries, ensuring robust documentation for internal and external audits. Maintain the internal control environment (SOX) for the consolidation and financial reporting cycle. Process Innovation & Special Projects Identify and implement process improvements within the consolidation cycle to reduce the "time to close" while increasing accuracy. Lead special projects related to financial reporting optimization, including the enhancement of OneStream workflows and automated reconciliation tools. Assist in the preparation of footnote disclosures for SEC filings (10-K/10-Q) related to equity and consolidation. Skills, Experience and Requirements Core Skills and Competencies (What you’ll bring) Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, specifically regarding Business Combinations (ASC 805), Foreign Currency (ASC 830), and Consolidation (ASC 810). Advanced proficiency in OneStream (or Hyperion/HFM) and Oracle General Ledger; must understand how data flows from ERP to consolidation layers. Proven experience in M&A accounting and supporting large-scale corporate restructurings. Superior analytical skills with a "precision mindset", expert level ability to perform complex equity and intercompany roll-ups. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex accounting treatments to stakeholders in Finance, Tax, and Legal. Minimum Requirements Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA designation strongly preferred). Minimum Experience: 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years focused on complex global consolidations and intercompany accounting. 3+ years of leadership experience managing professional accounting staff and driving cross-functional initiatives.
