Get to Know Your Team: UT Health Jacksonville features 33 operational beds, an ICU, a 24-hour ED designated as a Level IV trauma center, a maternity unit, advanced diagnostic technology, surgical suites, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and a UT Health East Texas Olympic Center fitness and rehabilitation facility. Responsibilities Under the guidance of the Respiratory Care Supervisor and according to specific instructions and established departmental policies and procedures, provides patient care to those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems. Job duties and responsibilities are related to General Therapy, Critical Care, Education, Processing Control, Pulmonary Services Research, and Leadership. Qualifications Job Requirements: Graduate from COARC accredited respiratory care program. Licensed practitioner by the State of Texas Medical Board. Certified Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire. Under the guidance of the Respiratory Care Supervisor and according to specific instructions and established departmental policies and procedures, provides patient care to those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems.
