What We Offer Emergency Management (EM) Coordinator Novant Health Overview The Emergency Management Coordinator performs professional and administrative work supporting preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts within the Public Safety department. This role is integral to advancing Novant Health’s emergency management program and ensuring operational readiness across the organization. What You’ll Do Develop, coordinate, and implement emergency preparedness training and education programs aligned with national standards and Novant Health goals Support organizational readiness through planning, response, recovery, and mitigation initiatives Collaborate with state, regional, and local agencies to strengthen emergency preparedness and response coordination Assist in maintaining and executing emergency management operational plans Exercise independent judgment in decision-making related to emergency preparedness and response activities Maintain on-call availability to support the Emergency Management Program as needed Why Novant Health Commitment to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement Opportunity to make a direct impact on community and patient safety Collaborative environment across clinical, operational, and public safety teams Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required Associate’s Degree preferred Bachelor’s Degree preferred Experience Healthcare emergency management experience preferred Experience in public sector emergency management, Fire/EMS programs, or related fields preferred Licensure / Certification Valid EMT-P and/or Registered Nurse (RN) preferred Must meet requirements outlined in Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 Additional Skills / Requirements NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, and 700 certifications required within 6 months of hire Demonstrated ability to develop and implement educational programs Strong coordination and collaboration skills across multiple agencies Ability to make independent and discretionary decisions Valid driver’s license required Why Choose Novant Health?
