Work Flexibility: Hybrid

As a Senior Buyer, you will play a critical role in keeping life‑changing products moving through our global supply chain. This role sits at the center of supplier collaboration, demand planning, and execution - where your decisions directly impact product availability, customer service, and business continuity.

What You Will Do

  • Manage strategic and tactical purchasing activities for an assigned portfolio to ensure uninterrupted supply and target customer service levels.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing master data in enterprise systems, including supplier lead times, product details, and replenishment parameters.
  • Communicate forecasted demand and weekly requirement changes to suppliers based on supply planning reviews.
  • Execute purchase orders in line with agreed purchasing rules and account strategies.
  • Define, communicate, and execute safety stock levels for raw materials and finished goods to support service and risk mitigation targets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers to resolve availability issues, adjust requirements, and escalate risks as needed.
  • Track, analyze, and report supplier performance using standard metrics such as on-time-in-full delivery, lead time compliance, and purchase price variance.
  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, cash flow, lead time, and supply resilience while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

What You Will Need

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in purchasing, procurement, manufacturing, or supply chain execution.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and German

Preferred

  • Experience using enterprise resource planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards).
  • Experience in supplier relationship management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry, such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or aerospace.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement or cost reduction methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
