Job description

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead commercial solar and energy projects across the Los Angeles market. This role is focused on full lifecycle execution of commercial installations, including permitting, utility coordination, and field operations. The ideal candidate has direct experience managing commercial solar or energy EPC projects and understands local utility and jurisdictional processes. This position is critical to reducing operational bottlenecks and allowing leadership to step out of day-to-day project execution. Responsibilities Manage commercial solar and energy projects from pre-construction through PTO Lead permitting, inspections, and utility coordination processes, including interconnection Interface directly with utilities and jurisdictions, including LADWP and Southern California Edison Oversee field crews, subcontractors, and project schedules across multiple active jobs Read and interpret construction drawings, electrical plans, and project specifications Own project timelines, budgets, and execution without heavy oversight Identify and resolve technical and operational issues that impact project delivery Maintain project documentation, reporting, and internal communication Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and regulatory requirements

7+ years of project management experience in commercial solar, renewable energy, or electrical construction Direct experience managing commercial (not residential-only) solar or energy projects Strong knowledge of LADWP, SCE, or Southern California utility processes Proven ability to manage projects end-to-end with minimal hand-holding Experience coordinating permitting, inspections, and utility interconnection Ability to read and interpret electrical and construction plans Experience managing field teams and multiple concurrent projects Background in solar EPC, electrical contracting, or energy infrastructure strongly preferred
