Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to support the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) SecureView Program Management Office. This role requires a skilled, technically knowledgeable person that has experience with hardware systems, components, and environments. The candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks in a team environment.

Responsibilities Include

  • Design, develop, integrate, test, and support hardware systems and components in secure environments
  • Maintain and support hardware infrastructure including servers, storage arrays, networking equipment, and embedded systems
  • Perform hardware troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions on desktop and server systems
  • Conduct hardware upgrades, component replacements, firmware updates, and system configuration changes
  • Interface with local customers and provide hardware-related support to quickly resolve issues
  • Apply relevant compliance standards and security controls to hardware platforms
  • Attend planning and requirements meetings with engineering teams, Program Managers, and customers

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware design, systems engineering or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of x86-based hardware architectures and Intel processor platforms
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with digital/analog circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded hardware development
  • Extensive experience performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting hardware systems
  • Experience with hardware security and testing
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and effectively communicate details with all levels of management
  • Experience supporting hardware in DoD or government production environments

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Familiarity with cross-domain hardware solutions and requirements
  • Experience with FPGA development, and signal integrity analysis
  • Experience writing test scripts, performing hardware testing
  • Experience with virtualization hardware platforms and high-availability systems
  • Basic knowledge of Agile development

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
