Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Interpreter role for Vietnamese or Tagalog languages, based in Chicago, IL. The Interpreter will provide accurate and impartial interpretation services between the target language(s) and English in a variety of professional settings. Responsibilities include interpreting in real-time during conversations or meetings, facilitating effective communication, and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information. The Interpreter will ensure cultural nuances are respected and appropriately addressed during interactions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Vietnamese or Tagalog, including speaking, reading, and writing skills
• Fluency in English and strong ability to interpret in both consecutive and simultaneous modes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective cross-cultural understanding
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics
• Prior experience as an interpreter or relevant certification is highly desirable
• Attention to detail, strong listening skills, and cultural sensitivity
• Availability to work on-site in Chicago, IL
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in language services is a plus
