Job description
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to strengthen the Fiber IT team within Fixed Networks Fixed Access. Purpose of the position is to develop and maintain the IT tools and microservices to configure and manage the PON network. This is done using Agile work methods (e.g., Scrum), where the efficiency and effectivity of the team in producing value is continuously improved.
What are you going to do?
- Develop and maintain IT microservices and tooling, used to configure and maintain the PON OLTs (Nokia).
- Develop and maintain data collection systems for getting the telemetry and syslog from PON equipment.
- Interact with other departments, shaping and implementing features that can give a higher quality to the customers
- Enabling other developers in the department setting up and maintaining the frameworks and environments needed to create and use our In House IT.
- Operational tasks in Fixed Access network
- As part of this job you also will be required to be part of the on call team.
**Required Qualifications:**
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Computer science experience, algorithms and microservices
- Experience with Python programming
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for software development life cycles
- Experience with Docker images and containerized solutions
- Experience with Docker swarm and/or Kubernetes
- CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions)
- Experience with network engineering, network automation, or building automation systems for infrastructure
- Strong desire for learning and growth
- High responsibility attitude towards the operation of the services and the network.
- Enjoy interacting with and helping internal customers
- English speaking is a must.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Experience with Nokia Network elements, configuration, commissioning and operation
- Experience with infrastructure security and compliance best practices
- Basic knowledge of database administration and management
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies

- A gross monthly salary ranging from €4,055 to €5,984, depending on your experience, based on a 40-hour workweek.
